Make sure to floss. Food gets between your teeth and can actually cause bacteria. That will cause bad breath. I highly recommend a sonicare toothbrush.

Try gargling warm salt water. 1 table spoon salt 8 ounces of warm water. Or try a peppermint. Or you can try mouthwash. Afterwords if you still have bad breath get it checked out by a dentist. It could be a sign of infection.

brushing alone is not enough you should floss yor teeth also ad do the tongue cleaning also. the bad breath is due to the fermentation of food particles which remains impacted in between the teeth.

You continue to have bad breath because you are not removing the source of your bad breath. Usually, the major cause of bad breath is the top of the tongue, not the teeth. Bacteria grow there and produce sulfur containing compounds that smell, that is bad breath. Smelly foods, such as garlic, smelly liquids, such as coffee, or smoking also cause bad breath because these smells also collect on the top of the tongue and smell. Mints, gums, mouthwash just cover up the smells for a short time. Good oral hygiene is to brush and floss the teeth and clean the top of the tongue with a tongue cleaner that has both a brush and scraper. Learn more about bad breath at

What you firstly need to do is establish what is causing the foul smell in your mouth? It could be certain foods you are eating like spicy foods containing garlic, onion etc, or it could be that you have lots of coffee? or you are a heavy smoker?
Try drinking lots of water as dehydration can be a major cause for bad breath.
Also when you brush your teeth at night, make sure you attempt to remove any food particles between your teeth with floss as they are a source for bacteria build up during the night due to reduced production of saliva in the mouth, also make a point of brushing your tongue as well.
Salty water is a good anti bacterial, do a few gargles every night to cleanse the mouth.
